Frequently asked questions
Does the LED strip need a driver?
Yes. ASTER LED strips work on 24V DC, so they need a 24V driver (power supply). Choose a driver rated above the strip's total wattage (watts per meter × length). Products labelled 'with driver' include one.
How long is each roll, and can I cut it?
Each roll is 5 meters long, and the strip can be cut to the length you need at the marked cutting points.
What is the aluminum profile for?
The aluminum profile helps dissipate heat, protects the strip and gives a clean finish. Surface profiles mount on the surface, recessed profiles sit flush inside gypsum or wood, and corner profiles fit into corners.
Which IP rating do I need?
IP20 strips are for dry indoor areas. IP65 and IP67 strips are protected against water, so they suit kitchens, bathrooms and other damp areas.
Which light color should I choose?
Warm light (3000K) gives a cozy, relaxing atmosphere for bedrooms and living rooms. Cool white (4000K) is a balanced white for kitchens, offices and corridors. Daylight (6500K) is a bright, clear white for workspaces and shops.
Do you offer installation?
Yes. You can request installation from the Installation Service page in the main menu.
