Frequently asked questions
Which breaker rating do I need?
The rating must match the circuit's cable size and load. Typically, 10A is used for lighting, 16A for sockets, and 20A to 32A for heavier loads such as air conditioners and water heaters. We recommend asking a qualified electrician.
What is the difference between Type B and Type C?
Type C breakers trip at 5 to 10 times the rated current, so they suit lighting, sockets and small motors. Type B breakers trip at 3 to 5 times the rated current and suit purely resistive loads.
What do 1 pole, 2 pole and 3 pole mean?
1 pole protects a single-phase line, 2 pole protects phase and neutral together, and 3 pole is used for three-phase circuits.
What does 4.5kA or 6kA mean?
It is the breaking capacity, the highest short-circuit current the breaker can safely cut. A higher value means stronger protection.
What is the warranty?
Breakers come with a 1-year warranty.
